YES! This is very much-needed. As a middle and high school teacher for over 15 years, I’ve seen the situation of boys become quite dire and it appears to be accelerating. The messaging about “toxic masculinity” and “all men are rapist” is, among many other things, driving young men into the arms of extreme commentators like Andrew Tate. We desperately need a positive, pro-social framings of masculinity that boys can be proud of. Boys are not defective girls!

I’m now an instructional coach and club leader, so I’v been thinking about developing pedagogical and curricular materials to show educators of boys and young men a better way. You MUST partner with schools and Ed training programs! Let’s do this!

Fantastic! Thank you for stepping up to build this wider platform - I imagine leaving Brookings isn’t the easiest decision. I look forward to being an American Institute for Boys and Men supporting member.
